In this work, the effect of the localization of the catalyst in a self-repairing system based on the microencapsulation technology in a bi-component epoxy adhesive has been studied. The efficiency of a conventional self-healing system (microcapsules + catalyst) has been compared with a system in which the curing agent and the catalyst are in the same microcapsule but isolated from each other. This system has been called "All in one" and has shown to be more efficient than the conventional one, achieving efficiencies of up to 116%.
