The present Dissemination Plan (Deliverable 2.2) of INVADE project contains all information necessary to fulfil all communication and dissemination (C&D) objectives. The document describes the C&D actions, defines responsible partners and collaborators, provides guidelines about journal and congress publications, newsletters and press releases.

The main purpose of the Data Management Plan is to describe the characteristics of the data collected from research and real pilots. This report settles the first version of the data management plan which will be updated in further project developments including more details. Abstract

This document is INVADE project deliverable D2.1, "Project website and social network profiles", which corresponds to task T2.2 "Digital media". The main purpose of D2.1 is to present the technical and editorial description of the INVADE website. Document describes the purpose of the site, the different templates for landing pages, the structure and functionality of the site, maintenance of the site, and how the overall communication and dissemination tasks are optimized by analysing and evaluating the ongoing results. Communication and dissemination activities will serve as vital parts of the INVADE project, both to create awareness and common knowledge about the project and to promote and spread results and outcomes. The website will have the URL www.h2020invade.eu and serves as a news and information hub for the upcoming dissemination and communication tasks throughout the project period.

Abstract

This document describes the general specifications for each of the pilots that will be part of the INVADE Project. The pilots are located in five countries: Norway, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany and Spain. It´s specified a list of sections for each one of the pilots. A general description, grid topology, flexibility services, technical details and a list of the general equipment that will be necessary in the execution of the project. For each of the pilots, the use cases will be related to the PUCs defined in D4.1 which has been a good input in order to identify the possible use cases for all the different pilots.

Abstract

Serious gaps are found when evaluating the recognition and inclusion of gender aspects in transport strategies, research and innovation. Similar issues can be spotted in the transport labor market, where only 22% of workers are women at the European level. The roots of these limitations are in the low participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) studies and, therefore, in the traditionally male-dominated transport field occupations. Stemming from the European project TInnGO, the current paper proposes a descriptive analysis to evaluate the gender gaps in educational provision and research in ten European countries. Specific indicators, such as percentages in the gender composition or the presence of university courses dealing with mobility and transport, have been defined and their availability in different countries is verified. In addition, a desktop review of practices for encouraging and supporting women in STEM studies is operated, underling characteristics such as the kind of initiative, the methods and tools used, the target group or the type of promoter. The results of this activity show that a wide network of associations and mentoring operates in various European nations, mostly targeting secondary school students, trying to make females aware of their potentialities in a deeply gender-biased field like the STEM one. Abstract

The Horizon 2020 framework program requires research projects to incorporate communication plans that cover all activities for the dissemination, communication, and exploitation of results. These must include strategic and specialized measures that identify the diversity of audiences, incorporate mechanisms for dialog with stakeholders, and establish systems for measuring results. This has changed the way in which the dissemination and scientific popularization of the projects are conceived and planned. This research analyzes the perception of Spanish experts in the design and development of competitive research projects regarding which are the most appropriate models and strategies for scientific communication. Through 22 in-depth interviews conducted with specialists from entities, companies, principal researchers, managers, evaluators, and scientific disseminators involved in H2020 projects, two dimensions of project communication are evaluated: the concept of dissemination, and the planning process. The results show that, although the dissemination activity must be carried out from the very beginning of the proposal, as an integral element of the project, the communication is only partially fulfilled, due to the instrumental nature given to it and the lack of complete planning of the actions that goes beyond the administrative fulfilment of what is requested in the calls. However, some progress can be seen thanks to the increasing professionalization of these activities and the integration of communication experts in all phases of the project.
