Basic plan

The Basic plan is our entry-level journal hosting plan and is conceived to provide a free way to help users start online publishing using Scipedia.


Scipedia's Basic hosting plan includes:

Basic hosting plan is offered for free (subjected to conditions for journals published in Scipedia, see below).


Premium Standard plan

The Premium Standard hosting plan includes all of the features in the basic plan, plus specialized support and more storage capacity.

Premium Advanced plan

The Premium Advanced hosting plan is designed to provide journal hosting services to institutions.

Includes everything in Basic, plus:

Premium Standard hosting plan is offered from 210 € per published paper. If article processing charge (APC) are charged to the authors, the cost of the Premium Standard hosting plan will of a minimum of 35% of that fee.

Premium Standard hosting plan allows journal editors to delay open access to the published articles ('embargo period'). According to EC’s communication ‘Towards better access to scientific information’, the maximum embargo period allowed will be of six months (twelve months for publications in the social sciences and humanities fields). Scipedia will ensure open access to the publication after the embargo period. If a delayed open access is applied to the published articles of a journal, the cost of the Premium Standard hosting plan will of a minimum of 35% of the pay-per download or subscription fee.

Conditions for journals published in Scipedia

An integral part of Scipedia's mission is to publish open access journals of the highest quality and with the greatest impact. Scipedia's journals must follow a rigorous and transparent peer-review process as a way to ensure the overall quality and integrity of the research presented.

Journals published in Scipedia must adhere to international standards and codes of ethics. Unless indicated otherwise, Journals published in Scipedia will adhere to the Best Practices Guidelines for Journals Editors of the Committee on Publication Ethics Code of Conduct. Journals must make clear indication of the use of specific ethical codes in the “About information” panel of the Journal home page.
