Leandro L. Rasmussen received his BSc in civil engineering from the University of São Paulo – São Carlos School of Engineering in 2011, MSc in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013 and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Brasília. He is a member of the Brazilian Soil Mechanics Association and Brazilian Rock Mechanics Association. He is currently involved with 3D rock mass simulation by means of Lattice numerical methods.
