I completed my Ph.D. at University College London, in England, in 1979, and worked at the University of Cordoba in Argentina, CONICET in Argentina, West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, USA, and University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
My areas of research interest are analysis and behavior of thin walled structures, with current emphasis on oil storage tanks; computational material science, with emphasis on multiscale analysis of composites and metal alloys; and history of Mechanics.
