Archaeologist by training, I specialise in Medieval Islamic archaeology.
I have over 20 years experience in the field of archaeological prospection and excavation, urban analysis, building archaeology, ancient irrigation systems and heritage studies.
I taught graduate level courses in Medieval History and Archaeology at the UAB in the late 1980s. Between 1987 and 1991 I participated in several research projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Junta de Andalucía.
Since 2017 I teach part-time at the School of Architecture of Marrakech (Morocco).
Currently Head of the Training Department at EDRO Systems, a technology company that works towards the implementation of a digital-twin workflow in the field of civil engineering.
