I am a researcher focused on the development and optimization of digestion systems for the energy and agricultural use of organic waste (manure, wastewater, organic waste, etc). I am interested in the sustainability of the flows of resources in society, mainly energy and nutrients. I have worked  for the last 12 developing and coordinating research projects in Latin America, mainly in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Colombia, in the context of appropriate technologies in the rural development, and especially in biodigesters and anaerobic digestion. I have directed research, development, policy and implementation projects for organizations such as GIZ and WISIONS (Germany), SNV and Hivos (Netherlands), GreenEmpowerment (United States), UNIDO, CTCN (ONU) and AECID (Spain).
