About me

Javier Capel Jorquera is a PhD candidate at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Madrid, Spain, where he also earned his degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He serves as a Research Assistant in the CEHINAV Research Group, conducting CFD analysis of external aerodynamics, including dynamic fluid-body interactions, for the Spanish Air and Space Force. His current research interests focus on turbulence and transition modeling through data-driven approaches and AI tools, with a particular emphasis on deep learning. As part of his PhD thesis, he aims to enhance the capabilities of RANS transition models using deep learning techniques.
