    • SPH and SeaFEM coupling. The main goal of the project was, firstly, to couple the sloshing tool known as AquaGPUSPH created by CEHINAV ("Canal de Experiencias Hidrodinámicas de Navales") with the seakeeping tool known as SeaFEM created by Compass I.S. Finally validations were made to prove that the final coupled tool provided good and accurate results. The key point of the project was to achieve a valid code to ascertain the influence of liquids carried in the inner tanks of floating bodies (e.g. ships, floating structures…) on the seakeeping behaviour of said floating bodies. Finally, a paper was written up and sent to be published.
    • Development of SeaFEM's Frequency Domain Tool. The objective of this project was help including into SeaFEM (The Time Domain Seakeeping analysis tool) the capability of calculating seakeeping models using the frequency domain. This was accomplished by adapting the already existent code known as Nemoh and adding some extra tools. This way, users are provided with an easy to use interface and helpful seakeeping results.
    • FAST and SeaFEM couping. The main goal of this project is, firstly, to couple the coupled dynamic response of wind turbines tool known as FAST created at NREL ("National Renewable Energy Laboratory") with the seakeeping tool known as SeaFEM created by Compass I.S. Finally validations are to be made to prove that the final coupled tool provides good and accurate results.

    • CFD simulations with XFlow. The main goal was to obtain a benchmarkof the program and see its capacities and analyse how accurate the program really was.
    • Ennera – UPM "Cálculo de resonancias en la gondola de un aerogenerador" The objective of this project was to obtain the resonant frequencies of the wind turbine constructed by Ennera using Dr. Leo Miguel González's code. Finally, possible solutions were studied to try and prevent the resonant frequencies from occurring.
    • "Acoustic Resonances in a 3D open cavity: comparison of experimental and numerical results." One of the goals of this project was to validate the code that Dr. Leo Miguel González had created by using results obtained at CAEND ("Centro de Acústica Aplicada y Evaluación No Destructiva") from an experimental open cavity.
    • Development of own code to solve the Poisson equation using the Finite Element Method. The objective of this project was to learn the main aspects of the Finite Element Method and how to implement it in code. This was my first experience in learning how to code using FORTRAN and served as a small introduction on how to develop and design large codes.
