received the Ph.D. degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2013, his B.Sc in electronic engineering and his Master degree in Engineering with emphasis on Automatic Control from the Universidad Del Valle, Cali, Colombia in 2004 and 2007, respectively. In 2009, he joined the Motion Control and Industrial Centre Innovation Electronics (MCIA). In 2014, He worked as a Postdoc researcher in UPC and Aalborg University, Denmark. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor on power electronics applied to renewable energy in the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus. His main research interests include modeling, analysis, design, and control of power electronic converters, principally for dc/ac power conversion, grid-connection of renewable energy sources, and Microgrid application.
