Alberto Lopez-Arraiza, Industrial Engineer (2000) and PhD in Materials Engineering (2008) by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Nowadays, I am a full professor in the Department of Technical Drawing and Engineering Projects in the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao (Spain). My main fields of research are focused on natural fibre-reinforced biocomposites, their mechanical characterisation and semi-structural and structural applications. Moreover, Life Cycle Assessment of new products and Marine Hydrodynamics are also fields of interest. Regarding my current teaching, I carry it out in the degrees of Marine Engineering and Nautical and Marine Transport.
