This article presents a consolidated quarterly analysis of adverse events associated with medications in Colombia, compiled through the online platform designed for reporting these incidents. The primary focus of the report centers on segmentation by departments, providing a detailed overview of the incidence of adverse events in different regions of the country. The study reveals significant patterns in the geographical distribution of adverse events, highlighting substantial variations between departments. Variables such as gender, quantity of events, possible causes, and specific factors are identified, showing a higher prevalence of adverse events in certain areas, providing valuable information for decision-making in public health and the implementation of preventive strategies. Furthermore, the report emphasizes the importance of strengthening the notification and monitoring of adverse events at the local level, underscoring the need for greater awareness and engagement from healthcare professionals in different regions. Recommendations are proposed to enhance the quality of reports and encourage closer collaboration between departments, with the goal of improving patient safety and optimizing the management of adverse events associated with medications in the Colombian context.
