The population consisted of 805 nursing students and the sample consisted of 460 students. Results: after the application of the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), with a validity of 0.86 Finn's R concordance coefficient and a reliability of 0.85 Cronbach's alpha, it was found that 98.3 % of nursing students presented an unhealthy sleep quality, which should necessarily seek medical treatment. Conclusion: The nursing students presented a high percentage of affectation in the quality of sleep, which would be causing a sleep disorder.
