In the world today there is an increase in various financial and credit products, these raise the need of people to acquire knowledge in basic financial concepts which will allow them to make informed decisions regarding savings, investment or indebtedness (Klapper, Lusardi , and van Oudheusden, 2015). The present study of comparative descriptive type, aims to identify financial knowledge in university students and compare if there are significant differences when comparing them according to the variables sex, age, professional career, marital status, having children, having a job and having a credit card. debit or credit The sample consisted of 176 students of both sexes and belonging to the Administration, Accounting, Education and Psychology careers of the Marcelino Champagnat University.
