The purpose of this work is to introduce time delays in an Oregonator-based model [11] to describe molecular communication in a system of coupled chemical oscillators [5]. With this approach we assume that the molecules responsible for communication (signal molecules) take a non-zero time to cross the barrier (phospholipid membrane) which physically separate the oscillators. In particular, here we present numerical results and we discuss and highlight the differences between delayed and non-delayed models.
